Through my connection with clay it became apparent a shift had taken place to how I felt about my own environment. I was strongly led to simplify my space. I felt the need for less mass produced items and more of what was meaningful to me. It's the nature of handmade that intrigues me. Each time I look at a piece I discover something more, something new. A wondering thought. A curiosity. A birth. A mystry. A story. A journey. A memory. Something sacred that quietly resides within us. A time where simple items were valued and so meticulously cared for and treasured. Somehow locked into a happy memory or something that got you through a diffiicult time. This is the philosophy The Two Throwers was built upon. Handmade pieces that you can also connect too. Something that you will treasure., something that resonates with you. Maybe you have a special memory growing up where Mum always used a specific ceramic dish soley for special occasions. We are now creating our own special memories with family and friends.
